Blinbid enables users to apply any number of tax combinations to your estimates and invoices. The first field contians the text for the type of tax. In the United States leave this as "Tax" in other countries like the UK you would enter "VAT" in this field. The second field to teh right is your tax id number just below that field is the name of the tax id. For example in the United States "EIN" is the designation for a corporate tax number and "Social Security Number" is the designation for a personal tax number. This will print on the bottom left of your invoices at th same level of the summary numbers for the job.
The tax name and tax rate will appear on right side next to the calculated tax amount.
Special Tax Situations Some regions require you to apply tax to indivdual line items instead of the overall job, to do this click on the Apply taxes to individual line items box at the top of the window. Some regions require that the second tax be applied to the job sub total plus the calculated amount of Tax 1. Click the Tax is compunded... in the tax 2 section to accomodate this. The same applies for Tax 3. Applying tax to an advance invoice. Some regions require tax to be applied to the advance invoice. You can choose this option when the Print Advance Invoice window is displayed. The calaculated tax amount will appear at the bottom of the Advance Invoice.
The tax settings can be modified at the job level by clicking on the Tax Method button on the overview window. Keep in mind that these and all preference setting are imported into each created job. Thus changes made here will not apply to existing jobs. |
